Health Commitment

1-Year Health Guarantee

Golden Paw Frenchies wants potential puppy owners to know that owning a puppy involves regular veterinary visits, and these costs will be the owner's responsibility. While we strive to ensure our puppies are healthy upon arrival, as living beings, they may experience health issues.

Definitions

  • Veterinarian: A state-licensed medical professional for animals.

  • Infectious period: The first fourteen (14) days after the puppy has been purchased and moved to the customer’s home.

  • Purchase Price: The cost of the puppy from Golden Paw Frenchies, excluding additional expenses like taxes, shipping fees, health certificate costs, veterinarian expenses, shipping crates, or other costs incurred by the buyer.

Our Commitment
Before sending a puppy to its new home, it undergoes a comprehensive veterinary examination and follows our vaccination and deworming protocols. This commitment applies to any health issues that may arise after the puppy arrives and is valid only for puppies that have been delivered and continuously reside in the United States.

Days 1-14: During the first 14 days after arrival, if your puppy is diagnosed with a contagious disease, illness, or parasite, Golden Paw Frenchies will reimburse you for reasonable veterinary expenses up to the purchase price of the puppy, provided you present the bills within three (3) weeks of the puppy's arrival. This does not require the customer to have pet insurance.

Year 1: Within the first year of arrival from Golden Paw Frenchies, if your dog is certified by two licensed veterinarians of your choice to have a congenital or hereditary condition that significantly affects its health, and you notify Golden Paw Frenchies in writing of this condition within five (5) business days of the first veterinarian's diagnosis, Golden Paw Frenchies will reimburse you for reasonable, documented veterinary expenses related to this condition up to the purchase price of the puppy.

Exclusions and Limitations

While our 1-Year Health Guarantee covers many aspects of your puppy's health, it's important to note certain exclusions and limitations. This ensures transparency and helps you understand what is not covered under our guarantee.

Injuries and Accidents: Our health guarantee does not cover injuries or accidents that occur after the puppy has left our care. This includes but is not limited to fractures, cuts, or injuries resulting from falls or other mishaps. It’s important to provide a safe environment to prevent such incidents.

Elective Surgeries: Any elective surgeries, such as cosmetic procedures or non-essential surgeries, are not covered by our health guarantee. This includes surgeries like ear cropping or tail docking.

Pre-Existing Conditions: Any health issues or conditions identified and documented by a veterinarian before the puppy leaves our care are excluded from the guarantee. We ensure full transparency about any known health conditions at the time of purchase.

Preventable Conditions: Health issues that could have been prevented through proper care, nutrition, and regular veterinary visits are not covered. This includes conditions resulting from neglect, improper diet, or failure to follow recommended veterinary care.

Behavioral Issues: Behavioral issues, such as training problems or temperament concerns, are not covered under our health guarantee. While we strive to breed well-adjusted puppies, individual behavior can be influenced by their environment and training.

Routine Care and Maintenance: Regular veterinary care, vaccinations, routine check-ups, and maintenance treatments such as dental cleanings are not covered. These are standard responsibilities of pet ownership and should be part of your regular care routine.

Parasites After Initial Period: While we cover treatment for parasites diagnosed within the first 14 days of arrival, any parasite issues arising after this period are excluded. Regular parasite control and prevention are essential parts of your puppy's ongoing care.

By understanding these exclusions and limitations, you can better prepare for your puppy's health and well-being. Our goal is to provide a clear and honest overview of what is covered, ensuring that you have all the information needed to care for your new family member effectively.
